We are Coppens Freddy and Mabilde Marijke and are living in Okegem,a little village in the region East-Flanders in Belgium.I was bitten by the pigeonmicrobe since the moment that my grandfather took me with him when he was going to look the arrivals off the pigeons in the neighbourhood,he couldn’t racing pigeons because of a lung sickness from working in the mines.From 1980 till 1990 I raced in combination with my older brother in the parental house in Moerbeke,after this periode I started on myself in Petit-Enghien till 1994,than I moved to Welle where I raced pigeons for 1 season and at the end off 1995 I moved to my current place off residence in Okegem,where I’am racing pigeons since 1996.Firstly Iraced the short distances localy in the club off Okegem and over the years I started to race the long middle and long distances in one off the largest clubs off our region “Denderbond Ninove”.By this site I want to inform you about my colony,wich pigeons are doing good at the breedingloft and wich pigeons are doing good in the races.This information you will find at the different pages in this website.If you are intrested in our colony are you have any questions you can always contact us.By means of the PHOTOGALERY you can allready learn a little about us and our friends.Have a good time!!
